Fred Allardyce of Westerly received the Distinguished Service Award from his high school alma mater, the Williston Northampton School, during a ceremony at the school’s reunion in June.

Kathryn Livingston of Westerly was named to the honor roll at Williston Northampton School for the third trimester of the 2018-19 academic year.

Hannah Schonenberg of Westerly received a Bachelor of Science in nursing and Megan McCann of Pawcatuck received a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in nursing from Simmons University.

Erica Boucher of Westerly was named to the dean’s list at Gettysburg College for the spring 2019 semester.

Madison-Sean McLaughlin of Westerly and Sydney Allen of Charlestown were named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference 2018-2019 Academic All-Conference Team. McLaughlin and Allen are students at Emmanuel College.

Molly McCormick and Abigail Murdock of Westerly and Lauren Szczesny, Rebecca Alaimo and Brian Lanyon of Mystic were named to the dean’s list at Springfield College for the spring 2019 semester.

The following local high school graduates received $500 scholarships from the Chelsea Groton Foundation: Annie Celico of Westerly High School, Caroline Andrews of Stonington High School and Valerie Knowles of Wheeler High School. 

Morgan McFarland and Hannah Schonenberg of Westerly, Megan McCann of Pawcatuck and Laura Souza of Charlestown were named to the dean’s list at Simmons University for the spring 2019 semester.

Daniel Lipton of Charlestown received a Bachelor of Science in information technology from University of Massachusetts Lowell.

The following Chariho Middle School students were recognized for perfect monthly attendance: March: grade 5, Lucas Callahan and Ashley Garcia; grade 6, Elijah Henley and Dylan McIntyre; grade 7, Darren Clarke and Wyatt Haggerty; and grade 8, Lilliana D’Alfonso and Virginia Keister; and April: grade 5, Liam McAllister and Madilyn Fizzano; grade 6, Sean Westnedge and Hayden Puglia; grade 7, Skyla Jennings and Kylie Stubbs Reynolds; and grade 8, Asa Hoxie and Caitlyn Courtemanche.

Chariho Middle School Students of the Quarter for quarter 4 were: Amelia Alves, Mckenzie Andrade, Christianna Lamotte, Casimir Shilale, Jenna Sullivan, Charles Allenson, Jezelle Rios, Elle Clark, Jared Peltier, Teddy Czarnecki, Lucie May, Camille deVasconcelos, Aidan Pepperd, Collin Fitts and Angelina Gendreau.

Ryan King of Carolina and Luke Monteiro of Mystic were named to the dean’s list at Ithaca College for the spring 2019 semester. 

Jillian Trager received a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in business administration from the University of Rhode Island. She is the daughter of Chris and Susan Trager of Richmond and granddaughters of Robert and Mary MacVicar of Westerly.

Patrick James Flanagan of Hope Valley received a Master of Arts from the University of Alabama.

Taylor Cintron of Pawcatuck was inducted into the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honor Society for Economics at Eastern Connecticut State University.

Glendon Riffe of Pawcatuck and Marisa Sabowski of Mystic were named to the dean’s list at Goodwin College for the spring 2019 session.

Nicolette Theroux of Charlestown received a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Saint Anselm College.

Taylor Cintron of Pawcatuck was inducted into Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society at Eastern Connecticut State University.
