AGE: 30.

OCCUPATION: Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

RESIDENCE: Stonington.

BORN, RAISED & GREW UP IN: Stonington.

RIGHT NOW I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF: Planning new nutrition workshops for 2020.

I ENJOY SPENDING MY TIME: Outdoors with my husband and two energetic dogs, Lady and Ivy.

MY PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: I think my biggest accomplishments are yet to come, but I’m awfully proud of coaxing an orchid to re-bloom three times in one year.

I’D LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR: Changing the way we think about managing chronic health problems, specifically mental health.

I ALWAYS CARRY: Digestive Bitters from Urban Moonshine — trust me they are a lifesaver for holiday feasts and indulgences.

WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP: A scientist, a journalist, a professor ... I’m still deciding.

MY HERO IS: My husband, Gavin.

FAVORITE AUTHORS: Serious fiction – Margaret Atwood; fun fiction – Liane Moriarty; non-fiction – Bill Bryson.

BOOK ON MY NIGHT STAND: "Back in Control," by David Hanscom M.D. It’s a fascinating and unconventional guide to holistic chronic pain management.

I AM LISTENING TO: So many podcasts! I can’t get enough! I highly recommend "Your Body, Your Brand," by Kaila Tova, an exploration into the dangers of body-based marketing.

FAVORITE MOVIE: I don’t usually watch movies; I get a little antsy after too long.

FAVORITE TV SHOW: "Sherlock," with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

FAVORITE RADIO SHOW: I change radio stations constantly. It drives my husband crazy.

FAVORITE SONG/GENRE OF MUSIC: I’m equal opportunity with music. I like most upbeat easy listening.

TOP COMFORT FOOD: Roasted sweet potatoes and kale with pastured pork sausage from Stonyledge Farm. Remember ... I’m a nutritionist.

SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES I USE MOSTLY: Ugh! I’m so bad at social media. I guess I have the most consistent business presence on Facebook.

TRAITS I MOST ADMIRE: Honesty, intelligence, equanimity.

PET PEEVES: The Impossible and Beyond Burgers (they’re not real food!)

FAVORITE QUOTATION: Wherever you go, there you are.

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD: I love having my family close by, we all live on the same street!

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: Smartwool socks! My feet get really cold.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME: I was obsessed with Billy Joel as a kid, and know all the words to every song.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: You can love your job but your job can’t love you back.

ADVICE I BEST LIKE TO GIVE: Don’t underestimate the power of proper hydration. We should all be drinking half our body weight in ounces of water each day!

IF I RULED THE WORLD I WOULD: Make basic nutrition education and cooking skills a part of every student’s high school education.

IF I WON THE LOTTERY, THE FIRST THING I WOULD DO IS: Call my lawyer? Run and hide?

I DRIVE A: Silver 2017 Subaru Outback.

I WISH I DROVE A: Silver 2013 Subaru Outback. This was my old car, totaled when someone rear-ended me. It had leather seats and a sunroof, the new one doesn’t ☹

ALWAYS IN MY FRIDGE: Full fat coconut milk, homemade soup stalk, dog cookies from Duchess Pet Treats.

IF I COULD INVITE ONE SPECIAL PERSON TO JOIN ME FOR DINNER AND CONVERSATION, I WOULD INVITE: Margret Mead, we share ancestry and I’d love to hear about her experience as a feminist and a sociologist.
