RIGHT NOW I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF: Preparing for the 22nd annual Rhythm & Roots Festival.

I ENJOY SPENDING MY TIME: With my family; my wife and our three kids and nine grandkids; and at an outdoor music festival with some ice cold beverages. 

MY PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Surviving as an independent festival producer for nearly 40 years in a corporate environment. 

I’D LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR: Being fair and honest and never screwing anyone over.

WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP: I'm doing it now. It took me quite a while to grow up.

PEOPLE WHO HAVE MOST INFLUENCED ME: My immigrant grandparents.

BOOKS ON MY NIGHT STAND: "Bluegrass, Newgrass, Old-Time, and Americana Music," by Craig Harris.

I AM LISTENING TO: Rhythm and roots artists for this year's festival. I have a lot of choices.

FAVORITE MOVIE: "Local Hero."

FAVORITE TV SHOW: I really don't watch TV.

FAVORITE RADIO SHOW: "Tradtions," on WRIU 90.3 FM.

FAVORITE GENRE OF MUSIC: Roots music.

TOP COMFORT FOOD:  Shrimp and black bean tacos with salsa verde. 

SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES I USE MOSTLY: Facebook.

TRAITS I MOST ADMIRE: Honesty, straightforwardness ... no BS.

PET PEEVES: When people lie.

FAVORITE QUOTATION: "Intelligence has limitations, but stupidity has no bounds."

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD: Solitude.

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: Music.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME: I used to be 6'3". Now I am 6'. And my feet have grown ... it happens with age.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: Be true to yourself. 

ADVICE I BEST LIKE TO GIVE: Don’t do it. 

IF I RULED THE WORLD I WOULD: Give everyone a paid month off. 

IF I WON THE LOTTERY, THE FIRST THING I WOULD DO IS: Pay off our mortgage and our kids' mortgages.

I DRIVE A:  A soccer mom van ... a red 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan so our nine grandkids have room.

I WISH I DROVE A: A vintage Jeep Commander. 

ALWAYS IN MY FRIDGE: Leftovers.

IF I COULD INVITE ONE SPECIAL PERSON TO JOIN ME FOR DINNER AND CONVERSATION, I WOULD INVITE: Billie Holiday.
