Rotary donation

Savings Institute Bank & Trust’s employees donated more than $4,000 to 31 local organizations that work to alleviate hunger and homelessness in eastern Connecticut and southern Rhode Island, including the Jonnycake Center of Westerly. The donations came from the bank’s employee-funded Caring & Giving Program. The recipients of the monies awarded by the program, which was established in 2000 and has donated more than $275,000 to worthwhile community organizations, are selected each quarter of the year by employees. Above, Pamela Mower, left, branch manager, presents a donation to the Colchester Rotary Club.
