North Stonington Garden Club

The North Stonington Garden Club was honored recently by the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut. The club’s yearbook, with the theme “Going Native,” won first prize within clubs of its size, and its community education programs were recognized with a Youth Award of Excellence for programs conducted in North Stonington schools. The club received two certificates of achievement, one for its many civic programs and gardens and the second for its programs supporting butterflies, native bees, and other native pollinators. The latter will include an emphasis on native plants available at the annual May plant sale, which will be held Saturday, May 11.
