On Sunday, June 2, 177 parents and students gathered to celebrate athletics and the athletic accomplishments of the boys and girls at Monsignor Clarke School, a co-educational regional Catholic School in Wakefield serving children in grades K through 8. Under the direction of Athletic Director Chris Daigle, this year the school added several new sports to its complement of instructional and intramural programs as well as competitive opportunities for students in both elementary and middle school.

The school unveiled 3 new banners for the gymnasium celebrating the girls cross country Southern Division and Diocesan championships and the girls basketball Division 2 champions. This year, the track and field team had 16 students compete in the state championship. With less competition for spots on teams than the larger public schools, students can really stand out at Monsignor Clarke and often go on to be accomplished high school athletes.

The school would like to thank its fantastic coaches who sacrifice their time to teach not only the skills required for the sports, but also life lessons that mirror the school's core values.
