The Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School held a "Holiday Open Mic" for its students at the United Theatre last month when 21 performers, ranging in age from 8 to 64, got their first chance to play on the “big stage” in the United’s main theater, adding their names to the long and illustrious list of artists to have done so over the last 10 decades. Later that evening, the United Theatre’s two youth rock bands, PoP and BR4, took the stage at the Knickerbocker for their year-end concert.
