Cadet Girl Scout Mackenzie DePietro, of Westerly, presented her Silver Award project, the second highest award given to a Girl Scout, to Westerly's 350 Committee Meeting last month. When she pitched the idea of creating a 350th Celebration Quilt to the committee and the Girl Scouts as her Silver Award project last winter, Mackenzie's plan was unanimously approved by both groups. Mackenzie presented the completed quilt, which features local scenes and sites, to Westerly 350 Committee during a special meeting.
