RICHMOND — Rhode Island's largest agricultural fair is in full swing in Richmond, offering five full days of family entertainment, including concerts featuring Country music stars, special events, contests, agricultural events, shows, exhibits and displays; tractor and horse pulls, the popular farm museum, a giant midway and a kiddy land area.
Breakthrough country artist Jimmie Allen, a native of Southern Delaware will perform tonight along with the Rhode Island Rednecks, and Kevin Herchen, Katie Perkins and Lonestar will perform Friday. On Saturday, Scott Fowler and his Southbend Band will take the stage, as will Jimmy Connor and Danielle Bredberry. On Sunday, Kevin Herchen returns for a second performance and Matt Stell wil sing on the Main Stage at 6 p.m., the final performer of this year's fair.
Don't miss the Animal Costume Parade on Sunday or the Cow Chip Bingo, a fundraiser for Hasbro Children's Hospital. Admission includes access to all daily concerts, acts and events. Ride tickets and games are a separate price.
Visitors are invited to visit the Main Stage pine grove to relax, savor the famous fair food, and listen to music.
