WESTERLY — Escape the polar vortex and warm up with friends at the The Misquamicut Business Association’s 14th annual Aloha Luau Friday at Misquamicut’s Venice Restaurant. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature tasty treats from more than a dozen local restaurants and the famous Luau Pig Roast. Delicacies from traditions ranging from Asian to American will also be served. A silent auction, with items such as dinners, a Block Island get-away, an overnight and dinner at Foxwoods, a cabana at Paddy’s, day trips, hotel packages, concert tickets, artwork, radio advertising packages and gift baskets will also be featured.

Music from The Hit Play Band will be sure to keep people on the dance floor throughout the night.

The Aloha Luau supports the many family activities held each summer at Misquamicut Beach, including concerts, festivals, car shows, drive-in movies and the road crew whose members clean the streets of Misquamicut in the summer months, remove trash and take on beautification projects.
