SOUTH KINGSTOWN — In an effort to help the Meadowbrook Waldorf School rebuild its musical instrument collection, student musicians from the The Prout School’s Music Connect Club will hold a benefit Coffeehouse on Friday at 7 p.m. in the school’s South Commons.

All proceeds from the event will be contributed to the music program at the Meadowbrook Waldorf School, which is still rebuilding from the fire that destroyed its Richmond campus last July.

The private K-8 school moved to South Road Elementary School for the current school year and is actively engaged in a fundraising campaign for a new building.

Friday’s concert will feature performances by Prout student musicians, raffles full of items donated by local businesses and members of the Prout community.

Admission is by donation, with a suggested donation of $5. The Music Connect Club has a goal of raising a minimum of $1,500 for the Meadowbrook Waldorf School.
