A two-family home at 20 Hobart St. in Westerly was destroyed by a fast-moving fire on Thursday night. Firefighters from Westerly, Dunn’s Corners and Pawcatuck responded to the blaze to find the upper floor engulfed after receiving a 9-1-1 call at about 9:30. The two occupants, who were living on the second floor, escaped unharmed before the second floor caved in on the first floor. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The house has been ruled a total loss. (Photo courtesy of Scott Stoddard)
