  • Wheeler gets victory

    NORTH STONINGTON — Wheeler High defeated Parish Hill in a non-league girls’ basketball game Saturday.

    The score posted on the CIAC website had the Lions winning the game by 17 points, 37-20.

    But the final score provided by the team had the final score at 37-29. The individual scorers for Parish Hill totaled 35.

    Mackenzie Brayman led the Lions (2-4) with 11 points and Kylie Baker grabbed 14 rebounds.

    Kaite Morgan scored eight and Jess Muller had nine boards.

    Parish Hill fell to 4-2 overall with the loss and split the season series with the Lions.

    Wheeler next visits Lyman Memorial Friday at 7 p.m.
