Hague, Schafer win titles


LEDYARD — The Westerly Wrestling Club’s Isaac Hague and Jacob Schafer won titles at the Ledyard Tournament on Sunday.

Hague placed first at 65 pounds in the Bantams Division. Schafer was the winner at 140 pounds in the Middle School Division.

Westerly had six runners-up.

Caden Jarrett (41 pounds), Jeremiah Major (50), Landon Bailey (45) and Brandon Roberts (46) each placed second in the Bantams Division. Ryan Craig (97, Intermediate) and Michael Garafola (125, Novice) also were runners-up.

Jasabel Santiago (64, Intermediate), Rual Santiago (119, Middle School) and Spencer Terranova (150, Middle School) each placed third.

Richie Mayo (55), Rocco Capalbo (39) and Robert Datson (44) each placed fourth in the Bantams Division. Dominic Johnson (126) and Edward Clark (82) each were fourth in the Middle School Division.
