Morgan helps Medronics turn back Danny’s Bar


WESTERLY — Todd Morgan scored 27 points helping Medronics win the closest game of the night Wednesday in the Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA Slo-Break Basketball League.

Glen Herbert and Angelo Luzzi added 13 apiece as Medronic defeated Danny’s Bar 63-57.

Mike Murdock led Danny’s with 31 points. Crit Mayo scored eight.

Todd Harrington’s 25 points for Mansfield Insurance led all scorers.

Teammate Jim Burbine contributed 13.

Joe Saunders and Derek Vacca each had 16 for Precision Fitness.

Ed Haik dropped in 22 points, Chris Orphanides scored 19 and Bobby Rofrano 18 for Hilltop Cafe.

Walter Manning of Photobooth Planet was high man for the game with 27 points. Geoff Gordon scored 10.

Rob Scavello scored 27 points and Benji Luzzi tossed in 17 for Benevides & Turano’s win.

Tom Fabian (16) and Brent Fusaro (13) topped the scoring column for Soundview Orthopedics.
