Adult softball: NLC Landscaping post pair of comeback wins

STONINGTON — Mark Gullickson went 3 for 3 and NLC Landscaping rallied for 9-5 win against L&D Mechanical in the Stonington Rec. Softball League Wednesday night.

Chris Moore was 2 for 3 and Sal DeSimone went 2 for 4 for NLC (9-9), which scored two runs in the top of the sixth to tie the score 5-5 and plated four in the seventh to win.

Jimmy McPherson went 2 for 3 and Ryan Simone homered for L&D (7-10).

Hi Tech ............................8

Craig D’Ortona went 3 for 3 and Chris Covino was 3 for 4 for Gringo Dingo’s (8-9), which led 13-1 after scoring six times in the top of the fourth inning.

Mark Tebbets (3 for 3) and Eric Hoadley (2 for 3) were the leading hitters for Hi Tech, which fell to 9-9.

NLC Landscaping ...........10

Hi Tech .............................7

NLC also rallied for a win Tuesday night, wiping out a 7-5 deficit with five runs in the top of the seventh inning. Sal DeSimone went 3 for 4 and Mike Young and Chris Moore were 2 for 3.

For Hi Tech, Mark Tebbets was 2 for 2 and Mike Williams homered.

Bad News Bears ................7

Gringo Dingo’s .................1

Jim Moore had three hits in four at-bats as Bad News Bears improved to 9-6. Joe Torres was 2 for 3 and Dwayne Venturini 2 for 4.

Dylan Campagna was 3 for 3 for Gringo Dingo’s and Jay Baton hit a homer and a single in three at-bats.
