Simone goes 3 for 4 in shutout


WESTERLY — Ryan Simone went 3 for 4 with a triple and Davis Standard/Angie’s Pizza shut out Watch Hill Garage/Lathrop Insurance 11-0 in the Westerly Men’s Softball League Tuesday night.

Bob Curioso hit a two-run home run for Davis Standard/Angie’s which improved to 7-13.

Andrew Felicetti singled and doubled in three at-bats for Watch Hill Garage/Lathrop (5-14).

Luke Raiche went 5 for 6 with a homer and four RBIs for Danny’s Bar/The Haversham (16-5) in one of two games on Sunday.

Andrew Bressette (4 for 5) doubled twice and drove in five runs, and Vinny Federico (4 for 5) drove in a pair for the winners.

For Trivia Time (0-19), Nate Hunsicker (2 fr 4) tripled and doubled and drove in three runs and Phil Startz (2 for 4) tripled and singled and knocked in two.

Steve Korytkowski and Brandon Fricke drove in three runs apiece as Pierce Plumbing&Heating/7-Eleven mercied Trivia Time Tuesday.

Korytkowski homered and singled in three at-bats, and Fricke homered and singled in four official trips to the plate. Teammate Kyle Austin went 3 or 4 and drove in two runs.

Taylor Wildes singled hom the lone from for Tivia Time USA (0-20).
