McQuade’s romps to victory


WESTERLY — Jordan Novak hit a pair of homers and drove in four runs as McQuade’s Marketplace/The Brazen Hen beat United Builders Supply/Cally Club 21-4 in a Westerly Men’s Softball League game on Thursday.

Novak finished 3 for 4. Mike Keemon was 4 for 4 with five RBIs and a homer for McQuade’s (11-7). Mark Anderson finished 4 for 4 with two RBIs in the mercy-rule game.

Pete Fusaro hit a two-run homer and Seth Logan had two hits for Brazen Hen (11-7).

United Builders Supply/Cally Club...................... 12

Bad News Bears.............. 6

Pete Fusaro hit a three-run homer and Seth Logan drove in three runs as UBS beat the Bears from the Stonington Recreation League.

Fusaro and Logan were each 2 for 2.

L&D Mechanical............ 16

Trivia Time USA.............. 4

Tony Patterson hit a pair of homers and drove in six runs as L&D Mechanical of the Stonington Recreation League prevailed.

Cory Smith doubled twice, drove in three runs and finished with three hits.

Jeremy Dessaules was 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs for Trivia Time (0-18).

Blackout......................... 18

United Builders Supply/Cally Club........................ 0

Jerry Cooke and Justin Hartley both went 3 for 3 and doubled for Blackout in the mercy-rule win on Wednesday.

Cooke drove in three runs and Hartley produced two RBIs. Kevin Maguire was 2 for 2 with a homer and four RBIs.

Blackout improved to 15-3, while UBS dropped to 7-10.

Affordable Furnishings... 2

Ron Sposato drove in five runs and homered in the mercy-rule win for Blackout.

Jerry Cooke and Andy Mongillo had three hits each for the winners. Mongillo also drove in three runs.

Rich Scarpa finished 2 for 3 for Affordable Furnishings (6-13).
