Gringo Dingo, Bad News Bears win


STONINGTON — Dylan Campagna, Craig D’Ortona and Jerry Thibodeau had three hits apiece and Gringo Dingo defeated L&D Mechanical Insulation 9-3 in a Stonington Men’s Softball League game Tuesday.

Campagna (3 for 4) hit two doubles and D’Ortona (3 for 4) and Thibodeu (3 for 3) had one each.

Gringo Dingo improved to 7-8.

Tyrone McPherson went 3 for 3 including a triple for L&D (7-9) and Ryan Simone went 2 for 3 with a double.Bad News Bears ..............21

Ron Sposato clubbed a home run in a 3 for 5 night as Bad News Bears improved to 9-6. Dwayne Venturini went 3 for 4 with a double and Rob Arruda was 3 for 5 with a triple.

Marcus Buck of Hi-Tech (9-6) had a single and triple in three at-bats.

Teammate Eric Hoadley doubled in three official trips to the plate.
