Antrim gets 4 hits in Pierce/7-Eleven upset

WESTERLY — Kyle Antrim went 4 for 5 and drove in three runs as Pierce Heating & Plumbing/7-Eleven knocked off Danny’s Bar/The Haversham in a Westerly Men’s Softball League game Tuesday night.

One of Antrim’s four hits was a double. Kyle Austin and Scott Fricke went 3 for 5 with an RBI for Pierce/7-Eelven, which improved its record to 9-10.

Luke Raiche went 2 for 4 for Danny’s Bar/The Haversham (14-5).

Brian Almy went 4 for 4 and knocked in three runs and Steve Cahoone and Dan Spencer went 3 for 4 as Findeisen hiked its record to 11-9 with Tuesday’s win.

One of Cahoone’s hits wasd a double.

Matt Serven (2 for 2) and Aldo Trombino (2 for 3) each knocked in a run for Cleats Sports Club/EZ Midway Liquors.

Lucky House/North End 17

Trivia Time USA ..............5

Jody Vacca drove in five runs Tusday as Lucky House/North End Social Club (13-6) mercied Trivia Time USA (0-17). Vacca singled and tripled in three at-bats.

Bruce Celico doubled twice in three trips to the plate and drove in two runs, and Aaron Bliven (2 for 3) had a double and two RBIs.

Steve Mitchell went 2 for 3 and drove in a run for Trivia Time, and Jeremy Conde hit a two-run single.

Playoff picture

Apice Builders/Premier Physical Therapy has the best record in the league at 17-1 and leads second-place Danny’s Bar/The Haversham (14-5) by 3½ games in the Blue Conference.

Blackout (13-3) and Lucky House/North End Social Club (13-6) are first and second in the White Conference.

The top two teams in each conference make the playoffs. The semifinals series will be best-of-three and the finals will be best-of-five.

McQuade’s Marketplace/The Brazen Hen (10-6) are in third place in the Blue Conference, followed by Findeisen (11-9), Pierce Plumbing & Heating/7-Eleven (9-10), United Builders Supply/Cally Club (7-9) and Watch Hill Garage/Lathrop Insurance (4-13).

Hilltop Cafe (12-6) is just a half-game behind secondplace Lucky House/North End in the White Conference.

Affordable Furnishings (6-12) is fourth, followed by Cleats Sports Club/EZ Midway Liquors (6-13), Davis Standard/Angie’s Pizza (5-13) and Trivia Time USA (0-17).
