Hilltop picks up victory


WESTERLY — Brian Howard finished 2 for 4 and drove in three runs as Hilltop Cafe/Pod’s Pizza beat Watch Hill Garage/Lathrop Insurance 12-9 in the Westerly Men’s Softball League Monday night at Craig Field.

Will Jenkins was 3 for 3 for Hilltop (10-5), while Steve Williams had two hits including a homer.

Ryan Heiberger was 3 for 4 with two RBIs for Watch Hill Garage (3-11). Jake Pucci double and drove in two runs.

North End Social Club... 14

Cally Club........................ 2

Gus Brucker finished 3 for 4, homered, doubled and drove in two runs in the North End (9-5) victory.

Bobby Fournier was 2 for 4 with a double, homer and two RBIs. Joe Baker finished 4 for 4 with a double. The game was halted by the mercy rule.

Seth Logan homered and drove in two runs for Cally (7-6).

Brian Discordia hit an inside-the-park homer, doubled and drove in four runs for Hilltop (9-5) on Sunday.

Rick MacCall finished 3 for 3 with four RBIs for the winners.

Tony Patterson homered, tripled and drove in two runs for Affordable Furnishings.

Dan Gardiner went 2 for 3 with three RBIs.

Kyle Antrim and Nate Grenier both finished 3 for 4 for PH&P. Antrim also had a double.
