  • L&D outslugs Hi-Tech

    STONINGTON — L&D Mechanical scored 16 runs over the third, fourth and fifth innings in a 20-12 win over Hi-Tech Medical in a Stonington Rec Men’s League softball game Wednesday.

    Kyle Hilbert went 4 for 4 with five RBIs for L&D (5-5).

    Matt Fauquet and Tony Patterson each had three hits and two RBIs.

    Brian Hienky had three hits and three RBIs for Hi-Tech (6-5). Jason Hoadley had a pair of hits and drove in a pair of runs.

    Five first-inning runs put NIC up for good Wednesday.

    Mike Young had three hits and drove in two runs for NIC (5-6). Dave Hill had two hits and drove in four and Chris Moore had two hits and two RBIs.

    Bob Aruda had a pair of hits and RBIs for Bad News Bears (6-5). Brandon Gauthier had two hits and drove in a run.
