Adult softball: Gordon delivers walk-off single


WESTERLY — James Gordon hit a walk-off, two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning lifting Premier Physical Therapy/Tony Apice Builders to a 12-11 win against McQuade’s Marketplace/The Brazen Hen in the Westerly Men’s Adult Softball League Sunday night at Craig Field.

Keegan Reed was 3 for 4 with three RBIs for Premier (8-1), while Jeff Collins finished 4 for 5 with one run batted in.

Mark Anderson was 4 for 5 for McQuade’s (4-4), while Brian Default was 3 for 4 with a homer and two runs batted in.

Findeisen........................ 11

McQuade’s Marketplace/The Brazen Hen............... 6

Steven Cahoone finished 4 for 4 with a double and four RBIs for Findeisen, which improved to 5-5 with the victory.

Brian Almy was 3 for 4 with a homer, double and four RBIs for the winners.

Adam Falcone homered, tripled and drove in a pair for McQuade’s, which dropped to 4-5 with the setback.

Luke Raiche drove in five runs, homered and hit a pair of doubles for Danny’s (6-4) in a game that ended early via the mercy rule.

Kevin Cobleigh went 3 for 3 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs for Danny’s Bar/The Haversham.

Anthony Pascuzzi was 2 for 3 with a homer and two RBIs.

Mike Gervasini was 2 for 2 for Watch Hill Garage/Lathrop Insurance, which dropped to 2-8 with the loss.
