  • Adult softball: Fusaro carries United Builders Supply to win

    WESTERLY — Pete Fusaro doubled and homered as United Builders Supply beat Pierce Heating & Plumbing/7-Eleven 7-5 Friday in the Westerly Men’s Softball League at Craig Field.

    Fusaro drove in three runs and Chris Sammataro went 2 for 4 for UBS (5-3)

    Scott Fricke was 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI for Pierce Heating and Dave Vacchina was 2 for 3 with a double.

    Kyle Antrim and Dave Vacchina each had four hits in Pierce’s blowout win.

    Antrim had three RBIs and Vacchina had one. Nate Grenier was 3 for 4 with an RBI for Pierce (6-3)

    Watch Hill’s (2-7) Jared Olson was 2 for 4 and drove in a run.

    Jeff Collins hit a pair of home runs in Premier’s win.

    Collins’ two homers netted him five RBIs. Justin Gwaltney was 3 for 3 and drove in a run and Tony Apice went 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs for Premier (7-1).

    Kyle Smith was 2 for 4 with an inside-the-park homer for Danny’s Bar (5-4).

    Kevin Cobleigh went 3 for 4.
