Adult softball: Loundsbury carries Blackout to victory


WESTERLY — Matt Loundsbury led the offensive onslaught going 5 for 5 with two homers, including a grand slam, a double and nine RBIs in Blackout’s 21-17 win over Lucky House/North End Social Club in the Westerly Men’s Softball League Wednesday.

Justin Hartley was 3 for 3 with two RBIs and Andy Mongilio was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Blackout (9-0).

Aaron Bliven powered Lucky House/North End (5-4) going 3 for 5 with two homers, a double and eight RBIs. Bobby Fournier homered and Joe Baker went 3 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Hilltop Cafe..................... 9

Jerry Cook and Hartley each contributed three hits, and Loundsbury homered and drove in two runs to lift Blackout to a 10-0 record.

For Hilltop (6-4), Brian Discordia went 2 for 4 with a triple and four RBIs. Torey Lauria doubled twice.

Bob Curioso was 3 for 4 with an RBI and Chip Chafee was 2 for 4 with an RBI to help Davis Standard/Angie’s Pizza to the win and rise to 3-6.

Jordan Manfredi led Cleats (4-6) going 3 for 3 with three RBIs. Aldo Trombino had two hits..

STONINGTON — Andrew Campagna went 2 for 3 with a homer to help Gringo Dingos improve to 2-3 and hand Hi-Tech Meds (4-1) its first loss.

Jerry Thibodeau went 2 for 2 and Craig Dortona was 1 for 2 for Gringo Dingos.

Josh DePerry and Matt Fallon each had two hits for Hi-Tech Meds on Tuesday.

Tony Patterson finished 3 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBIs to key L&D Mech’s (1-4) first win.

Terry Thomas and Jim McPherson each contributed two hits in the victory.

Jim Moore went 3 for 4 with a triple and Joe Torres went 2 for 4 with an RBI for Bad News Bears (2-2).

Hernan Ramirez, Jason Bradley and Evan Williamson each collected two hits and two RBIs in Gringo Dingos’ victory.

Sal Desimone and Steve Moore had three hits each for for 3 for NLC Landscaping.

Terry Thomas was 2 for 4 with a homer and five RBIs to pace L&D Mech (2-4).

Vinny Dimolla went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and Ben Royer went 2 for 3.

Jay Hoadley went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, and Marcus Buck was 1 for 3 with an RBI for Hi-Tech Meds.
