Adult softball: Seventh-inning outburst helps Lucky House to win


WESTERLY — Lucky House/North End Social Club scored eight runs in the top of the seventh and held off Cleats Sports Club/EZ Midway Liquors 18-15 in the Westerly Men’s Adult Softball League Tuesday night at Craig Field.

Lucky House/North End Social Club (5-3) trailed 10-8 going into the seventh inning.

Aaron Bliven doubled three times, drove in four runs and finished 3 for 5 for the winners.

Bobby Fournier was 3 for 4 with a homer, triple and three RBIs. Nick DeLauro finished 3 for 4 with two RBIs.

Aldo Trombino went 4 for 4 with a double and four RBIs for Cleats Sports Club/EZ Midway Liquors (4-5). Andy Sicard was 3 for 4 with three RBIs.

The two teams also played each other twice on Monday.

Lucky House/North End Social Club won the first game 14-5.

Derek Vacca was 3 for 4 with three RBIs. Joe Baker and Jody Vacca contributed two hits each for the winners. Baker double, tripled and drove in four runs. Vacca doubled and drove in three.

Jay Manfredi was 2 for 3 for Cleats Club/EZ Midway Liquors.

Junior Torres hit a three-run homer as Affordable Furnishings beat winless Trivia Time USA.

John Wigren was 3 for 4 for Affordable Furnishings (3-7) and Mike Hackett finished with two hits.

Ryan Chiaradio was 2 for 2 with a double and triple for Trivia Time (0-10).
