  • Adult softball: Falcone helps McQuade’s/Brazen Hen to win

    WESTERLY — Adam Falcons homered, doubled three times and drove in four runs as McQuade’s Marketplace/Brazen Hen beat Affordable Furnishings 23-12 in the Westerly Men’s Softball League Friday night at Craig Field.

    Falcone was 5 for 5.

    Mike Keemon added four doubles, a homer and seven RBIs for McQuade’s Marketplace/Brazen Hen (4-3). Mark Anderson was 4 for 5 with a double and triple. Mark Smithey finished 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.

    J.R. Gardiner was 4 for 5 for Afforable Furnishings (2-6).

    Lucky House/North End Social Club..........4

    Keegan Reed homered twice and drive in five runs as Premier Physical Therapy/Wood River Inn improved to 6-1.

    Jeff Collins and Billy O’Leary were each 3 for 4 with a double and a home run for the winners. Collins also drove in three runs.

    The game ended early by the mercy rule.

    Lucky House/North End Social Club dropped to 2-3.

    Angie’s Pizza............ 4

    Brian Almy homered twice and drove in four runs helping Findesein (3-5) to the mercy-rule win.

    Dan Spencer was 3 for 5 with a homer and three RBIs and Eric Collins finished 4 for 4.

    Chip Chaffee was 2 for 3 with a double, homer and two RBIs for Davis Standard/Angie’s Pizza (1-6). Kyle Potter was 2 for 3.
