WESTERLY — Bryan Curran and Kaelan Rayner combined for a one-hitter as White Fire Protection blanked the East Greenwich Coyotes 10-0 Thursday night at Cimalore Field.

Curran got the win. He pitched the first five innings and gave up the hit. He struck out two and did not walk anyone. Rayner threw two hitless innings with two strikeouts and a walk.
WFP (6-2) broke open a scoreless game with nine runs in the bottom of the fourth, then scored one run in the bottom of the seventh to end the game. WFP had just six hits but drew nine walks on the night. The Coyotes (2-6-1) did not commit an error.
Nick Benoit finished 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He stole a base and scored twice.
Curran was 1 for 2 with a double. He walked twice, scored a run and drove in two. Mike Jason (1 for 3) had two RBIs, JJ Sorensen (1 for 3) had a run and an RBI, and Rayner scored two runs and drove in one.
WFP has a busy weekend with a game at Woodlake Park in Johnston today at 3:30 against the RI Avengers and a 7:30 game Sunday night at McCarthy Field in West Warwick against the Rockin Times Royals.
