Flag football: Zanella earns win

STONINGTON — Jon Tully and Shawn Huntley caught five passes each as Zanella beat Charlestown Rathskeller Tavern 14-8 in the Ocean Community YMCA Flag Football League Sunday at Stonington High.

One of Tully’s reception was a touchdown.

Quarterback Noah Larson completed 12 of 26 passes with two touchdowns.

Doug Stanley completed 9 of 20 passes for Charlestown Rathskeller. Peter LaMotte had two receptions, one of them for a touchdown.

JJ Justice tossed four touchdown passes to Tony Homsey helping Renegade Gym to the victory.

The Renegade defense intercepted four passes.

Justice completed 17 of 25 passes. Homsey finished with nine receptions. Doug Wiech also caught a pair of passes for the winners.

Jared Palmer completed 12 of 21 passes for NoSto, two of them for touchdowns.

Jeff Rose caught four passes.

Joe Pangilinan completed 19 of 28 passes with one touchdowns helping his team to the shutout win.

Marco Chicas caught five passes for the winners.

Scott Quaratella completed 13 passes for LMEB.

Adam Blanchard finished with six receptions for LMEB.

Jay Woodward threw three touchdown passes as Brookside got past Shoreline Sprinklers.

Woodward was 19 for 24. Adam Falcone had one TD reception.

Tom Jervis tossed three touchdown passes for Shoreline completing 19 of 28 attempts.

Jeremy Salaun caught eight passes including one for a touchdown.
