Adult softball: NLC gets victory in seventh

STONINGTON — NLC Landscaping scored four runs in the top of the seventh to beat the Bad News Bears 15-11 in the Stonington Recreation men’s softball League on Tuesday night.

The game was tied at 11 entering the seventh inning.

Sal DeSimone finished 3 for 3 with five RBIs for the winners. Mike Young and John Dettore finished with two hits each. Young drove in four runs and Dettore had two RBIs.

Eric Collins was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Chuck Riemann had two hits and three RBIs for the Bears.

Dylan Campagna finished 4 for 4 helping Gringo Dingos to the victory.

Ed Haberek and Andrew Campagna contributed two hits and two RBIs each.

Tony Patterson hit a pair of homers and drove in four runs for L&D. Terry Thomas was 2 for 3.

Dave Vacchina drove in four runs, homered and went 2 for three for Pierce Heating & Plumbing/7 Eleven (3-1).

Brandon Fricke was 2 for 3 with a RBI.

Mike Gervasini hit an inside-the-park homer and drove in two runs for Watch Hill Garage/Lathrop Insurance (1-4). Andrew Felicetti had two hits including a double.

Jordan Manfredi finished 4 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for the winners.

Taylor Hallisey and Louie Colon both went 3 for 3. Hallisey triple and drove in four runs, while Colon doubled and drove in run. Cleats Club/EZ Midway Liquors is now 3-2.

Jake Boldus was 2 for 2 with two RBIs for Trivia Time (0-5). The game was halted by the mercy rule.
