Bulldogs mercy Davisville


WESTERLY — Maya Legare struck out four batters and Westerly Middle’s softball team beat Davisville 11-0 by the mercy rule in Tuesday’s Southern Division game.

Westerly scored in all four innings it came to the plate and the game was stopped after Davisville batted in the top of the fifth. Westerly’s biggest inning was a five-run fourth.

Megan Albamonti doubled twice and Mia Capparelli singled and doubled. Kate Brouillette contributed two singles in the win.

Westerly improved to 6-5 with the win and ends the regular season with a home game against Narragansett today at 3:45 p.m.
