Westerly U-11 girls blank Barrington


BARRINGTON — Rachel Dobson scored two goals with assists from Diana Turano to lift Westerly’s under-11 youth girls’ soccer team to a 3-0 win over Barrington Sunday.

Gia Keegan scored a goal for Westerly. Nina Cillino, Willa Tetu and Lydia Gladski were standout players in the win. Emma Keegan and Alexa Beal shared time in goal to record the shutout.

The victory came a day after Westerly lost 2-0 to North Kingstown.

CUMBERLAND — Megan Henry scored a goal to help Westerly tie Cumberland Saturday.

Alex Gencarelli had the assist. Jillian Octeau shone defensively, and Tessa Kluver made six saves.

Westerly U-14 Boys................................. 0

BURRILLVILLE — Westerly fell to 2-2 on the season after losing to Burrillville. Ted McGuire and Ryan O’Donnell played well in goal.
