Andrews, Federico net three goals


WEST GREENWICH — Chiara Andrews and Rachel Federico each netted hat tricks to lead Westerly’s under-10 girls’ competitive soccer team to a 7-2 win over Exeter-West Greenwich last Saturday.

Julia Mastrandrea scored Westerly’s other goal.

Westerly assists went to Talia Sisto, Federico and Mastrandrea.

The defensive standouts were Jillian Octeau, Alex Gencarelli and goalie Tessa Kluver who made six saves.

WESTERLY — Joe Gilfert and Ted McGuire accounted for Westerly’s goal-scoring.

Sam Kuzu and Greydon Aldrich had an assist apiece. Westerly’s goalies Ted MacGuire and Kyle Wicklund combined on the shutout.

Westerly improved to 2-0 with the win.

COVENTRY — Aaron Healy and Luke Gencarella scored a goal apiece in the win.

Ben Luzzi and Garrison Aldrich each assisted on a goal.

Joseph Guarnieri, Cameron Jacob and Jacob Pereira were the defensive standouts. Gencarella and Josh Bozek were Westerly’s goalies.

CRANSTON — Michael Imbriglio and Colby Makin scored a goal apiece and Imbriglio had an assist in Westerly’s loss Saturday.

David Allen, Sean Rafferty and Blake Busch led the defense as Westerly fell to 0-1-1.
