WESTERLY — Westerly High pushed across three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and topped Pilgrim 8-5 in an Injury Fund baseball game Saturday at Cimalore Field.

The nonleague contest was tied at 5 after 5½ innings before the Bulldogs scored the three runs.

Blake Bartoszek pitched the first five innings allowing just three hits and one earned run.

“Blake did a really nice job on the mound today,” Westerly coach Bob Cahoone said. “He kept everybody off balance.”

Chris Lombardo finished 2 for 3 including a double in the fourth inning. Anthony Garro contributed three RBIs and Joey Baldini drove in a pair of runs. The Bulldogs finished with nine hits.
