  • Westerly tops South County

    WESTERLY — Sam Elliot had three assists as the Westerly U11 boys’ soccer team beat South County 5-1 this weekend.

    Ben Luzzi, Aaron Healy, Jacob Gaccione, Cameron Jakob and Joshua Bozek scored a goal each.

    Healy and Gaccione each assisted on one goal.

    The defensive standouts were Garrison Aldrich, Sam Elliot and Joseph Guarnieri.

    Westerly’s final record is 4-4-0.

    WAKEFIELD — Chiara Andrews scored Westerly’s lone goal in Sunday’s loss.

    Rachel Federico had the assist.

    Westerly’s defensive standouts were Alex Gencarelli and Jillian Octeau.

    WESTERLY — Joel Henry and Connor Cioffi each scored two goals for Westerly on Saturday.

    Elliot Danto and J.P. Gencarella both found the back of the net once.

    Tseguay Janat was credited with three assists while Jake Serra and Joel Henry had one each.

    Carter Danto was Westerly’s goalie.

    WESTERLY — Elliot Danto scored a pair of goals in Sunday’s loss.

    J.P. Gencarella scored Westerly’s other goal. Jake Serra and Carter Danto had one assist apiece. Luke Trebisacci had a strong defensive game.

    CHARLESTOWN — Dominick Lombard assisted on a Tyler Rafferty goal to account for Westerly’s scoring.

    J.P. Smith was the defensive standout.

    EAST PROVIDENCE — Sam Luzzi scored twice in Saturday’s win.

    Sammy Intrieri assisted on a goal. Westerly goalie Jayden Knutson had a strong game. Sean Rafferty and Blake Busch had strong defensive games.

    Westerly finished the season at 5-2-0.
