  • Scarlet Knights blank Bulldogs in final match

    WEST GREENWICH — Exeter-West Greenwich shut out Westerly High’s girls’ volleyball team 3-0 on Monday — 25-18, 25-10, 25-15.

    The match marked the end of the season for the Bulldogs, who finished 3-16 overall, 3-15 in Divsion II-South.

    The Scarlet Knights (15-4, 14-4 Division II-South) have the playoffs to look forward to after finishing second in the 10-team league.

    Andrea Morrone had two assisted blocks, three assists, six digs and an ace for the Bulldogs. Megan Lacey had three kills, three digs and an ace. Alyssa Valentini had four digs and three aces, and Izzy Carey and Rachel Phelps each had a solo block.
