Chargers end with a victory


LINCOLN — Chariho High’s tennis team ended its season Thursday with a 6-1 victory against winless Lincoln.

The Chargers (3-9, 3-9 Division II-Suburban A) swept the four singles matches.

Katherine Bodell rallied at No. 1. She lost the first set 6-1, but won the next two 6-4, 11-9.

Elizabeth Trombino won 6-2, 7-6 (7-3 tiebreak) at No. 2, and Jessica Morehouse (6-3, 6-2) and Colleen McCauley (6-2, 6-3) won at three and four.

Chariho’s Ally Huzyk and Hope Teran posted a 6-2, 6-3 win at first doubles, and Casey York and Jessica Santilli won 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 2.

Lincoln finished its season 0-12.
