Larson throws three TD passes in Zanella’s win


WESTERLY — Noah Larson threw three touchdown passes to guide Zanella to a 22-8 victory against Solid Oak in a Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA Flag Football League game Saturday.

Larson was 17 of 25. Mark Duchesneau had seven catches and a touchdown while Scott Huntley had five grabs including one for a TD.

Tony Bell completed 14 of 23 passes for a touchdown and two interceptions for Solid Oak. T.J. Bell caught 12 passes and scored a touchdown.

Each quarterback threw a pair of touchdown passes for his team in a tie.

Chris Liguori was 12 of 19 with an interception for Free agents and Bob Dimock was 10 of 24 for C.C. O’Brien’s

Marco Chicas had two receptions and a touchdown for Free Agents and James Lathrop had five grabs.

Bob Clark had a touchdown catch for C.C. O’Brien’s.

Ray Arruda threw four touchdown passes for Northend Suds, three of them to Britton Friend, who had four catches on the day. Jeff Valentine was 10 for 20 with a touchdown and four interceptions for No Sto, and Justin McKenna had three receptions and a TD.

Avie’s/7-11...............................................0

Vernon Moore’s six touchdown passes helped Brazen Hen/Philly’s to a big win.

Moore completed 16 of 23 passes and had an interception. Mike Portunato had four catches and two TDs and Nick Montarsi had three catches and two touchdowns.

Steve Korytkowski completed nine passes and had two interceptions for Avie’s/7-11. Jordan DeGiacomo caught four passes.
