Chargers roll past Tolman


WOOD RIVER JCT. — Seven goals in the span of 21 minutes gave the Chariho girls’ soccer team a huge 7-0 first half cushion and the Chargers cruised to a 7-2 win against Tolman in Tuesday’s Division III-A game.

Ten Chargers factored into the scoring with Meghan Rousseau as the only two-goal scorer. Sydney Allen had a goal and an assist.

Megan Kirby, Arin Demers, Zoe Johnson and Gabby Harris each scored a goal for Chariho (10-1, 10-0 Division III-A).

Samantha Orciari, Katie Kuddy and Eayanne Enos had assists.

Tolman dropped to 1-7-1, 1-7-1 Division III-A.

The win puts Chariho up by eight points on second place West Warwick.

The Chargers visit Moses Brown Friday at 4 p.m.
