Westerly defeats Chariho

WESTERLY — Nico Serluca and Sam Luzzi scored two goals each as the Westerly U12 boys’ soccer team beat Chariho 8-1 on Saturday at the Gingerella Sports Complex.

Nathaniel Ober, Blake Busch, Sebastian Reisch and Aiden Faubert scored a goal each.

Busch, Reisch, Luzzi, Ober and Jayden Knutson finished with an assist each.

Others named outstanding players were defenders Jake Carter and Davide Allen, forward Colby Makin and forward Sammy Intrieri.

Westerly is 4-1.

WESTERLY — Julia Mastrandrea scored twice in Westerly Blue Central’s victory on Sunday.

Maddie Faubert and Alex Gencarelli also contributed goals. Tessa Kluver, who also had a good game as keeper, had the team’s one assist.

Chiara Andrews and Rachel Federico played well on defense, while Talia Sisto had a good game on offense.

Westerly is 3-0-2.

WAKEFIELD — South County shut out Westerly on Sunday.

Top players for Westerly were JP Gencarella (offense), Dylan Fister (defense) and Carter Danto (goalie).

Westerly U11 girls............ 0

CRANSTON — Cranston led 2-0 at the half on its way to the win on Sunday.

Diana Turano and Jacklyn Fusaro played well for Westerly.
