Westerly Middle prevails


NARRAGANSETT — Sam Luzzi figured into every goal for the Westerly Middle boys’ soccer team in its 4-2 win over Narragansett Thursday.

Luzzi scored twice and assisted on the other two Westerly goals.

Ryan O’Donnell scored Westerly’s other two goals and also had an assist.

Joseph Gilfert picked up an assist and Teddy McGuire made six saves in net.

Greydon Aldrich and Kyle Wicklund were the Bulldogs outstanding players.

Westerly follows its season-opening win with a home game against Wickford Thursday at 4 p.m.

WESTERLY — The Bulldogs got four goals from four different players in Thursday’s win.

Skye Byrne, Sydney Federico, Erica Main and Emily Sisco were the goal scorers.

Maci Woycik played net.

Elle Page, Meghan Morrone and Emily Haik were the defensive standouts.
