RUNNING

■ Gabriella Celico won the women’s 5K run at the Tom McCoy Fun Run last Wednesday in Misquamicut.

Celico covered the distance in 20 minutes, 3 seconds. Randi Burr finished second in 21:41 and Shayla Schoeneberger was third in 23:04.

Tom Bousquet (17:27), Nick Celico (17:54) and Jeff Walker (18:30) were the top three men.

Sam Montalto was the top boy in the kids’ 1/3-mile run, finishing in 2:05. Billy deCastro (2:08) and Matthew Marois (2:16) were second and third.

Isabelle McDonald (w:06) won the girls’ race, followed by Julia Mastrandrea (2:09) and Kaya West (2:28).

Chad Johnson, Lindsay McConnel, Mastrandrea and Montalto were winners of the Aug. 7 races.

Johnson ran the 5K in 17:31. Nick Migani (17:32) and Bousquet (17:37) were second and third. McConnel ran 20:31 to take the women’s 5K. She was followed by Gabriella Celico (20:59) and Katie Esposito (22:50).

Mastrandrea was the top girl in the kids’ race, finshing in 2:04. McDonald (2:05) and Lydia Gladski (2:11) were second and third. Montalto won the boys’ race in 1:59, followed by Elias Dahl (2:00), Will Sawin (2:13) and deCastro (2:13). The final races of the series will take place Wednesday.
