GOLF

■ Stonington Country Club will host the third Annual Special Olympics Benefit Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 9. The tournament is planned and organized by members of Stonington Country Club and will benefit Special Olympics Connecticut.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start begins at 1 p.m. A dinner buffet and auction will be held at 5 p.m. Golfers and sponsors are still welcome.
