Olde Mistick best in Stonington tennis league


STONINGTON — Olde Mistick Village cruised to a 6-0 win over Avie’s Ski and Sport to win the Stonington Rec. Tennis League championship on Wednesday.

Ben Burnap and Kyle Mulvaney posted wins in singles for OMV in the championship match.

Burnap was a 10-9 winner in the men’s No. 1 singles match and Mulvaney took the second men’s singles match by a 10-4 score.

The men’s No. 1 doubles match was a close one as Nick Raho and Duncan Welch won by a score of 10-9.

The second men’s doubles match went to Robert Gay and Chris Tasca, 10-5.

Liz Harrington and Marianne Dussault posted a 10-4 win in the No. 1 women’s doubles match.

In the second ladies doubles match it was Annique Goin and Kristen Onorato winning 10-3.
