Adult tennis Olde Mistick tops Duncklee


STONINGTON — Olde Mistick Village swept singles play en route to a 5-1 win over Duncklee Wednesday in the Stonington Recreation Adult Tennis League.

Nick Raho won 10-4 in No.1 singles and Liz Harrington won 10-0 in second singles.

Duncan Welch and Johnny Damon won in men’s first doubles and Dieter Zumsande and Don Harrington won in second doubles 10-4.

Tracy Reagan and Marianna Dussault took women’s first doubles 10-4.

Deb Baldwin and Krisanne Battles won by a 10-0 default in second doubles for Duncklee’s only win.

Avie’s dropped just one match in a win Wednesday.

Chris Cappello won 10-2 in No.1 singles and Matt Cappello took second doubles 10-5.

Mark Adams and Mike Krupansky won men’s first doubles 10-4.

Leah Ward and Donna Sullivan took first women’s doubles 10-0 and Hannah Siener and Janica Rissler won second doubles by 10-0 default.

John Tapley and Tom McCormick won 10-5 in men’s second doubles for Majestic’s only win.
