    Westerly gets win in tourney

    YOUTH SOCCER

    SOUTH KINGSTOWN — The Chariho/Westerly Lady Strikers U16 competitive girls’ soccer team went 1-1-1 in three games in the Score Goal 4 Rams Soccer Tournament at the University of Rhode Island on July 27.

    The local squad downed Rnune Ole Elite 4-3; fell to Scituate 7-3; and tied Chariho 3-3.

    Samantha Orciari led the way for Chariho/Westerly with six goals. Audra Arsenault scored three and Alisa Haik added one.

    Emma Givens led the team in assists with three. Christina Imbriglio had a couple of assists while Orciari, Charlotte Gross, Morgan Rosivach and Katherine Rosivach each had a single assist.

    Alyssa Bromley and Savannah Dube led the defensive efforts.

    Westerly U11 Boys

    SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Westerly dropped three games in the Score Goal 4 Rams Soccer Tournament at URI.

    Westerly dropped its first game 13-1 to Exeter-West Greenwich, fell 11-2 to CSC Gunnes and 10-1 to Cranston.

    Sam Luzzi, Ben Luzzi, Michaell Imbriglio and Sean Rafferty each scored one goal.

    Ben Luzzi and Imbriglio each had an assist. Blake Busch and Davide Allen were the defensive standouts while Aaron Healy played well in goal.
