  • Home No Matter the Season

eing the first week of winter, there’s really no better time to start fantasizing about the beach. Charlestown beach is one of the nicest that the New England coastline has to offer. With miles of pristine, sandy beachfront spread along the Block Island facing coast of Rhode Island, Charlestown somehow remains a hidden gem of the region. This small, quaint coastal village is the perfect place to live year-round, or simply visit for the fantastic summers that make the state the go-to destination for seasonal escapes.

A literal minutes’ drive to Charlestown Beach and nearby Ninigret Pond sits the charming Cape style home at 123 North Niantic Drive. Set on a nearly one-acre wooded lot down a quiet and private drive that gets minimal traffic, 123 North Niantic Drive makes the ideal home for year-round living or use as a spacious vacation cottage.

Down a circular driveway, past a tree-lined front yard, nicely landscaped with open space, the home splits off from an attached, oversized one-car garage into a sizable mudroom. The mudroom enters into the house, with a separate front-entrance that extends off of a stone paver patio at the homes front.

Entering into the home, to the right is a nice sized eat-in kitchen with abundant cabinet space and windows looking out to the wooded backyard. The homes design nicely enables the space to be expanded into the mudroom if needed, creating a larger dining space with minimal work.

Across from the kitchen, the homes large living room is bright and sunny, with sliding doors leading out to a wide front deck and separate, screened-in porch. The centerpiece of the living room is a tall, wood-burning fireplace with a wide mantle. Vaulted ceilings in the room open it up nicely, creating a wonderful space of comfort and relaxation.

A full bathroom on the first floor has a Jacuzzi tub and sits beside a spacious first floor bedroom that could be used as a master bedroom if desired. The room has a wide closet and a tall ceiling with a ceiling fan to cool the warm summer nights. Six panel wood doors connect each room of the house.

Upstairs, another bedroom sits atop the open staircase, also with a wide closet as well as floor to ceiling windows looking out over the private backyard. The second floor bathroom has a wide walk-in shower. The homes third bedroom sits between the bathroom and a large hall closet. This, the homes true master bedroom has a wide closet and a nice amount of space. Cathedral ceilings rise over the room adding a nice, open feel. Along the side of the room, a windowed door opens onto a large private deck overlooking the peaceful woods along the back of the home.

Outside, on nearly an acre of land, 123 North Niantic Drive enjoys an abundance of open space. The large yard extends out to the tree-lined backyard and nicely separates the home from its neighbors. An outdoor shower adds a nice touch for returning home from days spent at the nearby beach.

Being so close to the beach, a mere bikes ride away, one would be lucky to call 123 North Niantic Drive their home, or even their seasonal vacation spot. The home is currently listed at $379,900.
