Charlestown’s newest community

When it comes to buying a house it’s expected that potential homebuyers will have to settle on at least a few things they may have hoped for. Sure, they can make changes down the road, but wouldn’t it be nice to have control from the beginning? Genwood Estates in Charlestown gives buyers just that, a blank slate in which to fill in all of their dreams of home.

O’Donnell Development Co. and Coldwell Banker are offering a glimpse into the future this Saturday, October 12th from 1:00 to 3:00pm. An open house at the eight lots that make up the community will showcase what could be in this quintessentially New England district where the decisions are uniquely placed in the hands of the buyer.

Perhaps Genwood Estates greatest quality is its location off of the sought after stretch of road south of Route 1A. Set in one of the most beautifully peaceful stretches in southeastern Rhode Island, the community is comprised of eight residential lots, five having over two acres and three with over an acre each. These primarily wooded lots are settled in the serene confines of the Cross Mills section of Charlestown. A mere five minutes drive to spectacular Charlestown Beach and the spanning beauty of Ninigret Park; Genwood Estates is perfectly situated for year-round enjoyment.

O’Donnell Development Co. is ready to build, offering more than five choices of homes ranging from four to five bedrooms each. These aren’t the cookie cutter homes one might see filling in the too-close lots of land in most developments. The homes that O’Donnell Development has designed are variations on the Nantucket Cottage style homes identified with classic New England. These cedar-shingled homes each offer customizable layouts, and various options that place control in the hands of the buyer. With over two-acres of land to each lot, space is never an issue.

Each home is designed for state of the art convenience and efficiency. Engineered lumber, 400 series Anderson windows, gas or wood-burning fireplaces, granite counters and hardwoods throughout are just a few of the endless options for complete customization. Hydro air and spray foam insulation will ensure future savings.

It’s this type of forward thinking that makes the Genwood Estates project so unique. Because the homes have yet to be built, buyers have choices when it comes to what lot of land they prefer and whatever home, whether pre-planned or planned from scratch that they would like O’Donnell Development to build.

Jeffery O’Donnell of O’Donnell Development Co. has been building dream houses for over 32 years. Hailing from Charlestown himself, O’Donnell has been working with the same group of contractors for nearly 25 years. He has built everything from large coastal homes along the Rhode Island coast to developments like Pleasant Hills in South Kingston, Tipping Rock Estates in East Greenwich and Williamsburg Estates of Westerly. With Genwood Estates O’Donnell brings it all back to Charlestown for the newest development south of Route 1A.

To get a glimpse into your future and see what options are available, meet the builder at the Genwood Estates open house this Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Genwood Drive in Charlestown. Homes will range in price from $580,000.00 to $829,000. For more information call realtor Chad Dupuis with Coldwell Banker at 401.261.2218 or email him at chad@coldwellbanker.com.
