The Charlestown Town Council had a chance to show support for all residents at their last meeting. They failed.
With the resignation of Councilor Steve Williams, there was a vacancy on the Town Council. Logic would dictate that the candidate that received the next highest vote in the last election would be appointed. That was Robert Malin who received 1,986 votes.
Instead, the Charlestown Citizens Alliance-dominated council chose to ignore the votes of nearly 2000 Charlestown residents and appoint a fellow alliance crony George Tremblay. That is their version of open, transparent government.
