Prompt, professional response team deserves praise

Speaking for my wife and myself, our new year certainly started with a bang. On Wednesday evening, Jan. 15, we were involved in an accident that pretty much demolished our brand new vehicle. The accident happened when we were returning home from a great meal in downtown Westerly.

The reason for this letter is to express our appreciation and gratitude to the Stonington response team for its promptness and professionalism. The Stonington police were on the scene almost immediately and took control, directing the firemen and the emergency medical team. The conduct of all members of the response team was professional, courteous and caring. We were very impressed with one particular police officer who took her time to visit my wife in the hospital to inquire about her well being. She was kind enough to return my driver’s license, which I had left with an officer at the accident scene.

Thanks and kudos to the Stonington response team.
